TRQ: Composite video color inverter
The circuit is based on the “Truqueur” by Hervé Cadinot, published in “Montage électroniques pour vidéo” in 1994. It can invert the content of a composite video signal, and wipe between original and inverted video, with gain control on original and inverted signal.
It’s interesting to note that the design seems quite inspired of the “Video Colour Inverter”, published in Elektor Magazine November 1984.
TRQ V2 adds a second wipe, with a CV/audio input so the wipe can be controlled with an external signal. This signal can be processed using the internal sample and hold (based on René Schmitz YASH).
TRQ produces various glitch effects, with bright colors. A rotary switch can select between 8 effect intensity, and a potentiometer attenuate this effect.
The project is now available through the shop, either assembled, in kit or pcbs only.

Various ramps, mirrored ramps and 2D shapes from Rampes are combined together using the three channels of Combines, outputs of Combines going to Seuils signal inputs and CV inputs to generate hard shapes/mattes, which are later processed through Matrice for color tuning using its matrix mixer, and its triple VCA to cut through the colors/creating negative space, finally outputs of Matrice are encoded with Sortie in 720p60.

It keeps the SD resolution and look, with those nice jagged/aliased edges, while benefiting from being progressive rather than interlaced, giving that smooth motion without requiring deinterlacing.
However, not a lot of devices can support ED standards, here a Retrotink 5X is used to convert Component 576p50 to HDMI 1080p50 for capture.
Modules used are Rampes, Animate, Seuils, Isohélie, and a couple work in progress 😉

So glad to have received this opportunity! - The video was made completely by me, mixing usage of analog and digital circuitry, new and old, using it as it properly should be used or using exactly some of its malfunctioning.
