I’ve been asked about how Stable and Solaire looks when patched together, so here we are!

Solaire is based around full wave rectifiers, which when applied to video, produces an effect known as solarization. It makes the picture brightness « fold on itself », and it is here used as modulation on Stable parameters.

In the second part of the video, the post-processor output of Stable is used instead of the pre-processor output, creating a feedback loop and Solaire having quite a high gain (up to 16 times), it produces a lot of noise (let’s see how it get through Instagram compression).

Luma keying is a good way to constrain effects to certain parts of the source image.

Here, Détail pre-filter output is connected to Seuils which generates hard keys out of it, with each channel of Seuils controlling each of the parameters of Détail.

Here, Détail pre-filter output is connected to Seuils which generates hard keys out of it, with each channel of Seuils controlling each of the parameters of Détail. Long time no sync!

Past month has been quite busy, been working on setting up a fixed video recording setup (finally), and here is the first recording made with it! (Need to work on the lighting still).

The now classic Détail and CBV001 combo, with CBV001 used to process the modulation going to Détail. Getting the best of CBV001 distorsion without worrying about loss of sync as Détail preserves it.

Recorded in Composite PAL 576i50.

Stock of Détail and CBV001 are low, so might be the right time to grab one!
